BMZRC  C/o  Chris Palmer  cpalmer386@aol.com

Once we receive your deposit our 'MZ Eperience' coordinator will contact you and start the process.  We will only make a firm booking on receipt of your deposit. Booking is made on a first come first served basis.  If you are unable to attend we will try to find a replacement for you but if we can't your deposit will not be returned.

Before you go out on track you will need to attend a training day to undertake the Competitors Training Course which the ACU require you to pass before you are issued a license.  In the past the BMCRC used to be able to take you through the course at the track but unfortunatly they are unable to do this now so you will now have to make your own way to the A.C.U. headquarters in Rugby for this.
You should bring to your training day a passport sized photo of yourself, a copy of the ACU license form (you can download from the ACU site) with the 'Eye sight' section completed and stamped by an optician*. Also a copy of your driving license.

Details are here:              http://www.acu.org.uk/Resource/Licence-and-Forms.aspx

We are sorry for the inconvenience but we hope this does not put you off starting your racing.

The test day usually has around six or seven sessions. You will arrive at around seven in in the morning for a cuppa and meet the team. We will give you a run over the bike and it's controls and you will help prepare it for the day.Yes you. We will give you all the help you need but the idea is to get you up to speed as an Mz racer. That means learning - and doing - it all - from tyre pressures to fuel mix. After the prep it's off to sign on, get the bike sound tested and then the first session of the day. The morning is spent familiarising yourself with the circuit and machine and the racing enviromenrt. There will be an Mz/ACU coach on track who will observe you as you lap the circuit and give you some feedback after your sessions. After lunch we will help you smooth out some of the rougher edges and help you prepare for your first race day. You will get some serious one to one attention from your coach, watch how it should be done and ask the million and one questions that will be on your mind. Race days start at the same time (7am) with technical inspection, signing on and bike prep. Then there will be a practice session, a chance to sort out the final adjustments and lines before you go to the line for the first time. Off to the collecting area, out onto the grid! A warmup lap and then it's wait for the lights to go out and your off!!!!!!! There is a practice session and two races each race day. You will be 'buddied' up with a couple of regulars who will help you be where you need to be at the right time (race days can be hectic) and work with you on your bike and race craft thruout the day. Don't worry - they were first timers once to and they know just how nerve wracking.... and exciting, that first race meeting can be.At the end of the Loooong weekend we hope we will have you hooked and you will be looking for a bike.
