If you are running it with the timing lines matched at TDC then it's wrong. They need to line up 1.6mm before TDC. Like Phil B says. Get a timimg kit from Burwins.

Ive been trying everything and nowt seems to work. Interestingly though the locking up only occurs on a closed throttle!?! (there is a constant air gap incase you were wondering :o)

I cant say I havnt tried. Although I dont have proper timing equipment Ive used common sense, scredriver and a self made timing wheel. (and a hammer). Ive tried dropping a slug of fuel in the bore just to see if it'll bang... nothing.. ive gone both ways on the mixture screw in the carb... nothing. Ive BTDC the timing and ATDC the timing not even close. The nearest hint I got was a backfire about a week ago now. :o(
