Which frame ?

Hi Guys,

what's the real world difference between the short and long box sectioned frames?

My bike is still completely stripped at the mo and as I have both types of frame, I was just wondering, whether to try the shorter frame.

Or Not ?

An experienced opinion/view would be appreciated

Re: Which frame ?

Simples. The short frame turns easily but is unstable on fast sweepers. Long frame is harder to turn, but alot better at the faster stuff. Deano won on the TS frame last year, which is short and tubular, which should make it stiffer. Deans bike turned in like lightening, but was awfull on the faster stuff (Dean just never shut the throttle when things got a bit twitchy).

Re: Which frame ?

Thanks guys,

I've since discovered a twist in my long frame  soooo.......

i'll give the short one a go at Brands !

I see what you mean about the tank Tosh.....

I'll have to use the matching tank, for the short term at any rate... I realise beauty is in the eye of the beholder but it's  .....well ..not pretty !
