Riders down.

Get well soon Si. Didn't get to speak to you after the race but I hope you are ok and got home alright.

Also Clarky. Not sure how you are mate or what injuries you have but get well soon. They arent called the axe murderers for nothing. Hope the bike is ok. I had the best racing of the season with you at Snetterton. Put a bit of a downer on it hearing about the crash. Let us know how you are.

Re: Riders down.

Went to see Adam at Med centre and he was in alot of pain, as you know they thought he had broken his pelvis badly.

I had a phone call on the way home (from his dad and mate Paul) to say it is not broken as far as they knew at the hospital, but were waiting further test outcome.

But Adam said to say he was not racing like a mad man it was not his fault, he seemed worried about that bless him

Re: Riders down.

Thank goodness, looks like  you're recovering fast Clarky - I've hardly understood a word of your last few posts!

Deano - hope you're back on your feet again soon & not making your dad traipse up to Grimsby much longer!

Take care guys & hope to see you in Nov.

Gill (& the rest of Team Moffat) x

Re: Riders down.

Glad to hear that Clarky is ok (he'll never be back to normal, he was never there). I'm assuming any tears or talk of a broken pelvis were some feeble attempt to get someone to kiss it better.

I hope Si is on the mend too, interesting to hear how he could drive himself home with a broken collar bone when I had to dress Mr 66 for FOUR weeks after he broke his?!?!?

Also glad Deano is home, the nurses in Grimsby must be relieved.

Great to see T-Bone, the Stormtrooper and the little Pirate back in the paddock. Happy Days, Yes Boy....or whatever it is the young people say.

Re: Riders down.

Finally. Managed to get the wife's laptop to work! If anyone has been trying to contact me on my mobile, I only found out yesterday that it had switched itself on to silent. Sorry about that. Anyway, saw the bone doctor in Oxford and no battle scars for me. He said that he was not going to plate and screw my broken collarbone, but just leave it to heal naturally. It surprised me to learn that recovery times are identical for operation/no operation. Going back to see the doc next week and, provided the bones have not moved, should be back to work in about a fortnight. As I am already starting to get bored with day-time TV, I took the dogs out for a walk yesterday and, even at a slow pace, ended up breathless halfway round. Must be getting old! Just like to say a big thanks to the Moffs and Giles and his girlfriend, who helped me load up on Sunday, as well as everyone who came up with ideas and suggestions as to how should get home. Wasn't too bad driving home as most of the way is dual carriageway. The only interesting bit was when the wife phoned me half-way back, and I stupidly tried to have a conversation while driving one-handed. Not to be recommended. Also thanks to new guy Ian #73, who lent me a spare tank for the last race. Sorry we could not get it off the bike so I could return it. I know we agreed that I could hand it back next season, but it suddenly occurred to me that I could post it to you. So, Ian, if you, or anyone who knows his details, could email his address to: s.nix@hotmail,co.uk I could post it to you. The whole experience (is that the right word) just reminds me how special the club is.Again, thanks everybody. Si Nix  #9

Re: Riders down.

Glad to hear you got back alright and that the bone's healing nicely without any metal work.  Laura will be pleased to know how you are as she swears she must have jinxed you! Hope you're back on the bike soon and we'll see you next season.

Giles

Re: Riders down.

Ive seen you drive ,it looks like you are driving with one arm whilst on the phone anyway.Glad you got back in two pieces ,is it worth talking to the bone welder ,he seems to be able to reduce recovery time quite considerably.

Some people may not know how you broke the tank on your bike in the earlier high side, would you like to tell them?

Glad to hear You are ok Clarky ,thats the wonderfull thing about tiggers .

Re: Riders down.

To Adam/Simon

Simon,

Wasn't there Sunday, what happened?

Adam,

I gather you got scooped up at Riches on your 600, but no lasting damage...correct?

Re: Riders down.

Thanks for update, based on experience I would guess that the bruises are at the blue/green/yellow stage right now.

See you all next March.
